Question 1

What vaccinations are required?

Accepted Answer

All dogs must have current DHLP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, and parvovirus), rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations. A hard copy of your dog's vaccination records must be kept on file.

Question 2

Should I bring my dog's food?

Accepted Answer

We recommend bringing the food your dog normally eats to help minimize digestive upset. We can also provide Purina food for an additional $2 per day.

Question 3

Can I bring my dog's bed, blanket, or toys?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! You're welcome to bring familiar items from home to help your dog feel more comfortable. Please keep in mind that our dogs walk on wooded trails and may get dirty, regardless of the weather. We cannot be responsible for damage to or dirt on beds, blankets, or toys.

Question 4

Can you administer medication?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We administer medications at no additional charge. Please bring medications in their original containers with clear, written dosage instructions.

Question 5

Is someone at the kennel at all times?

Accepted Answer

We live just a few hundred feet from the kennel and are close by, but we do not stay at the kennel 24 hours a day. We appreciate your understanding and respect for our hours of privacy. Even when the kennel is closed to visitors, we continue caring for our guests.

Question 6

Do you require a deposit or charge a cancellation fee?

Accepted Answer

A deposit is not required for standard stays. For extended stays of more than three weeks, half of the total stay is due as a deposit, with the remaining balance due at pick-up. We do not charge a cancellation fee, but we ask that you notify us as soon as possible if your plans change so we have the opportunity to fill your dog's spot.
